POREPUNKAH PANTHERS BASEBALL CLUB
To all players and supporters, the 2021 NEBA season is fast approaching and you need to be aware of the following information:
A) The season draw is on our website-Porepunkah Baseball Club. The 1st match is in Wangaratta (Targoora Reserve on the Wang-Whitfield road) on Sunday, May 2, and our 1st home game will be the following week. On that Sunday (May 9), the Mayor of the Alpine Shire will attend to receive our thanks for the recent Alpine Community Grant, used to upgrade our playing surface and improve our lights, before throwing out the 1st pitch prior to the start of the A Grade game. A redraw may be implemented-further details after Tuesday, May 27 NEBA meeting.
B) Game times are: U/12-9-10 am, U/15-10.15-11.45 am, B Grade-12-2 pm, A Grade-2.15-4.30 pm. (Junior ages are as of December 31, 2021). Dispensation forms are available for individual cases.
C) ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER and pay the required insurance fee online BEFORE taking the playing field. The link is just above on this page
D) For Juniors there are no further fees. For Seniors, the dues are $130, with a discount to $110 if paid by May 16.
E) Remember to use the QR code at all games and practice sessions OR sign the attendance book.
F) Uniforms-for Juniors, the Club will provide a playing top as well as gloves, bats, helmets, etc for the season. Hats with the Panthers emblem are available for $25. There are some second-hand pants available-small size mainly. Players can purchase their own white pants, black socks, and playing shoes. For Seniors, the Club has top's for those who don’t wish to get their own, with an individual number. For those who want their own, the tops will cost $65. The new Club hats will be available for $60, and the other items of uniform will be up to the individual. The Ausport van will be up from Melbourne and be at Wangaratta on May 2 with a large variety of baseball equipment and uniform items-eg pants, socks, belts, shoes.

Porepunkah Panthers Baseball Club would like to welcome all it’s members and non-members to the club's facilities to enjoy Baseball.
Porepunkah Panthers Baseball Club has a prestigious history in the Victorian Baseball Association. The Club has a long history of providing an economical and social game of Baseball.
Porepunkah Panthers Baseball Club is always open for Senior, Junior, and youth. The club membership charge is not expensive.
Porepunkah Panthers Baseball Club is located at Porepunkah Reserve( Nicholas Street), Porepunkah.
The PPBC was formed in 1988, and from its early days has looked to build on the small-town philosophy of encouraging people to have a go, to acknowledge participation and effort and to provide another venue for supporting others in the local community. The Club has been successful with 5 B Grade Senior Premierships and 5 Junior Premierships. The Club were Premiers in both Grades in 2019.

The Porepunkah Panthers Baseball Club Inc. acknowledges the support of the 2020 Alpine Shire Community Grant for the provision of the new lights and the re-grassing of the extended infield area. They will assist the members in doing their tasks quicker and/or more safely. And au further acknowledgment will be made at the opening of the 2021 season, likely to be in April.
the Club also extends a Huge thanks to George Barber, Project Manager of the re-grassing of the infield area of our diamond. His knowledge, enthusiasm and efforts have been invaluable to the success of this work.
